New sod for your yard, priced by the square foot before anyone shows up.
St. Augustine and bahia sod for Cape Coral and Fort Myers homes at $1 per square foot installed, plus $0.50 per square foot when the old turf has to come out first. Measured from your lot, quoted in writing, and laid by the BCQ crew.

The full scope, in writing.
- St. Augustine (Floratam) or bahia sod, fresh-cut from Southwest Florida farms
- Removal of dead or weedy turf at $0.50/SF where it is needed
- Grade repair and leveling so the new lawn does not puddle or scalp
- Irrigation coverage check before the sod goes down
- Rolled and watered in on installation day
- Written watering schedule for the establishment period
Most sod quotes are a lump sum from a drive-by. BCQ measures the actual area, prices it at a flat published rate per square foot, and tells you in writing whether the old turf needs to come out. You know the number before the crew arrives, and the same crew that lays the sod can keep it cut on a monthly lawn plan.
Sod Installation, the way we actually deliver it.
Sod fails in Cape Coral for two reasons: it was laid on a dead irrigation zone, or it was laid over the old turf and never rooted. Both are avoidable. Before a pallet is ordered we run the zones that cover the area, flag heads that need adjustment, and decide whether the existing turf is worth keeping. Dead, weedy or thatch-heavy lawns come out first at $0.50 per square foot; a thin but clean lawn can sometimes be patched instead of replaced.
Grade matters more than most homeowners expect. Sandy fill settles unevenly, and a new lawn laid on the old grade inherits every low spot. We level and fill before laying, keep the finished turf slightly below walks and driveways so the mower does not scalp the edges, and roll the sod so roots make contact with soil instead of air.
Timing is flexible in Southwest Florida because turf grows most of the year, but establishment is easier when irrigation can keep up. New St. Augustine needs frequent watering for the first few weeks; we leave a written schedule and, if you want the lawn maintained afterward, the first cut is timed for when the roots have taken.
Pricing is simple: measure the area, multiply by the published rate. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice unless you change the scope. If the yard also needs a bed rebuilt, a hedge planted or a palm set, those lines go on the same quote from our Palm & Plant Co nursery brand.

What homeowners ask us.
Straight answers, the same ones we give at the kitchen table. Anything else, call us at (239) 799-5594.
How much does sod cost in Cape Coral?
BCQ installs residential sod at $1 per square foot, with old turf removal at $0.50 per square foot when the existing lawn has to come out. The area is measured on site and the total is stated on the quote before the crew is scheduled.
Do I need to remove the old grass first?
Not always. Dead, weedy or thatch-heavy lawns come out first so the new sod roots into soil. A thin but clean lawn can sometimes be patched or laid over after grading. We tell you which on the quote.
St. Augustine or bahia?
St. Augustine (Floratam) is the standard for irrigated Cape Coral and Fort Myers yards: dense, shade-tolerant and the look most neighborhoods expect. Bahia is the choice for large or unirrigated areas because it survives on rainfall. We recommend based on your irrigation, not the other way around.
How do I water new sod?
Frequently for the first few weeks so the roots take, then back to your normal watering days. You get a written schedule on installation day, and we check that irrigation actually covers the new area before the sod goes down.
